Catacomb is a new monthly club night showcasing the best in Downtempo, beats and boogie. Expect to hear the sounds of Underground Funk n' Soul, chugging House and Disco and Hip Hop and Future beats.
A typical night may feature the sounds of: J Dilla, Flying Lotus, Hudson Mowhawke, Bobby Womack, Gill Scott Heron, Jimmy Edgar, Theo Parrish and Moodymann.
Hitting 2013 hard with two out standing acts Catacomb are proud to present for their first event of the term: the Bambooman ‘Hollowed’ EP Launch, headlined by SALTWATER SAMURAI.
A blend of Jazz, left field Electronica, Disco and House, the boys from New Cross ‘have played alongside exciting bands such as The Invisible and Led Bib, and have also been played on the legendary Gilles Peterson’s Radio 1 show. In 2011 Saltwater Samurai were selected to play the BBC Introducing Stage at the Cheltenham Jazz Festival and their set broadcast on BBC Radio 3’s ‘Jazz on 3’ programme. ‘ lead to a number of prestigious shows in Soho and at London’s esteemed Vortex Jazz Club and the Queen Elizabeth Hall.

Bambooman has been making huge waves in the underground electronic scene for some time now and his unique blend of Hip hop and future beats is finally making its way onto ‘wax’ in 2013. As old friends, Catacomb is lucky enough that his first ‘to vinyl’ EP- The ‘Hollowed’ EP, will be launched with us on the 21st.
